Welcome to Franklin Elementary
Located in central Bakersfield, Franklin Elementary School is a mixture of the past and future. The school serves a diverse economic and ethnic population of students in kindergarten through grade six. Visitors enter the school doors to find a vibrant school community of staff, parents, students, and community members working collaboratively to provide optimal learning opportunities for all students.
Mission
To provide a firm foundation upon which students can grow academically, socially, and personally to become productive members of today’s diverse and increasingly technological society. With parents and community support, we strive to nurture, challenge, and encourage all students to achieve their maximum potential. Our motto is Learning Together- Reading, Responsibility, and Accountability.

Franklin Elementary was one of eleven schools nationwide to receive the 2008 National Excellence in Urban Education Award. The award was presented by the National Center for Urban School Transformation (NCUST) at San Diego State University. This award recognizes schools that exemplify the rigorous and committed work necessary to realize a high quality education for students. Congratulations Franklin Falcons!
