Welcome to our classroom. We are a second grade class in Bakersfield, California. Bakersfield is a small city in the southern end of the California's central valley. Our summers are hot and dry with temperatures in the 90's while our winters are wet and mild with temperatures in the 50's. Our major industries are oil and agriculture.
My students are ages 7, 8, and 9. As part of our "Friends Around the World" project we love to hear from students from other parts of the planet. We have had penpals in Queensland, Australia and ePALS in England.
