Hi and welcome to my classroom website!  I am currently teaching 4th graders at Franklin School in Bakersfield City School District.  I was born and raised in Bakersfield, California.  I moved to Redding, CA where I received my BA in Liberal Arts and Multiple Subject Teaching Credential in !994 at Simpson College.  I moved back to Bakersfield to be near family in 1999.  I enjoy teaching children and my greatest satisfaction is seeing students suceed.

My teaching career started in Redding, CA where I taught Kindergarten.  Since moving back to Bakersfield, I have taught Kindergarten, First, Second, and Fourth grade.  I am a New Teacher Support Provider for the district and enjoy sharing ideas with other teachers.  I was honored by being named Franklin Teacher of the Year by my colleagues in 2006.

I have a wonderful and supportive family including my husband, 2 daughters, 2 son-in-laws and three adorable grandsons.  My interests include spending time with my family, reading, traveling, boating, fishing, and learning more about computers.

I hope you enjoy visiting my website!

Susan Creekbaum
